The lockdown around the world due to the novel coronavirus has caused massive losses to a huge number of businesses around the world. The casino industry has incurred big losses as all public gatherings were restricted by the government.

The King's Casino is located in the 5-star Hotel Corinthia in Prague. It is a friendly place where gamblers come to relax and have fun. Guests can enjoy the simple pleasures offered by tables of American Roulette, Blackjack and Poker King. To the delight of fans of poker, the game room holds regular tournaments of poker variants including No.

The King’s Resort in Rozvadov, the biggest casino in Europe, closed its doors to all Italian players after the number of positive cases in the country kept on increasing. After a while, due to the surprising increase in the number of deaths in the Czech Republic, the casino announced that it’ll remain closed till the beginning of September at least.

Now that the total number of cases have been reduced and the number of new cases is decreasing, King’s have decided to reopen the resort.

Although live poker tournaments will not be resumed, live games such as roulette, slots and BlackJack will be available.

The lockdown restrictions have been eased a bit in the country with the number of cases reducing at a steady rate. Now the citizens are allowed non-essential movement, travel abroad and are allowed to meet up with a maximum of 10 people at a time.

King’s announced that they are in process of implementing their health and safety strategy by maintaining hygiene standards, including hand sanitizers for guests and frequent disinfection of all areas.

It was the beginning of March when World Health Organization (WHO) warned the world as an “uncharted territory” with the rapid spread of COVID-19. And it has been weeks since the pandemic forced businesses around the country to close their doors. If we go through the list of affected sectors and companies the casinos around the globe, their owners and workers have suffered tremendously, almost losing millions each day.

In March, Europe’s biggest casino, King’s Resortclosed doors for Italian players after Italy reported numerous positive cases. Eventually, on 3 April, with the overwhelming number of deaths in Czech, the casino announced that it will remain close to all visitors until 1 September 2020, declaring a “multi-month ban…but at least six months.”

Now with the reducing number of cases, King’s in its recent press release stated, “King’s Resorts Rozvadov, King’s Casino Prague and Admiral Casino Rozvadov open again on May 11th at 15:00!” However, only live games like roulette, Black Jack and Slots will be available. Further stating that live poker tournaments won’t take place now as the situation still stands delicate “we hope we can start them soon as well!”

Czech Republic eased restrictions a few days ago after a drop in new cases that sparked optimism among the citizens. The country lifted a ban on non-essential movement, travel abroad and allowing up to 10 people meet in public.

Quite recently, the giant Wynn Resorts requested to restart the business in May with Nevada’s Governor Steve Sisolak receiving an open letter by CEO of Wynn Resorts, Matt Maddox saying, “They only way to cross the river is one stone at a time, and we need to put our feet in the water before it is too late.”
